Uhm, Leaves?

Leaves' shadows
lazing on the pavement
in clusters
stretched and skewed
or shrunk
so apathetic
not a care
they could be absorbed
over-ruled
by the shadows of everything
(come night)
or they could be facing an
afternoon
sharp
monopolizing a their piece of pavement
are they lonely then?
they have eachother
they hate eachother I bet
closeness has a way like that
a funny thing
shadows
leaves, too
an ocean breeze
chill
autumn nears
the branches will alone cast shadows
(come day)
are they lonely then?
no, i don't think so
they seem to keep a healthy distance
